This Beastly Amphibious Dredger Takes on the Toughest Cleaning Jobs in Shallow Waters
Meet the Watermaster, “the amphibious multipurpose dredger for shallow water work,” which includes dredging, piling, raking, suction dredging, etc. There’s practically nothing that this dredging beast can’t do. It can clean up any messy act – from overgrown swampy inland waters and shores to trash and vegetation that’s both floating and rooted. There is no need for multiple machines as the Watermaster has a vast selection of quickly changeable attachments and can handle the cleanup from the dry ground up to 6 meters in depth! Currently, this versatile machine made in Finland, has two models available, the CLASSIC IV and the CLASSIC V and they certainly bring it!
One of the Watermaster’s many strengths is its suction dredging with its exclusive Cutter Pump, which is vital to the process and makes it fully amphibious. When merged with the Integrated Watermaster Operating System, it allows for 50 % to 100 % more effective pumping time than conventional machinery. Equipped with a submersible pump, it tackles extremely shallow waters and dry land with ease. It also has two cutter crowns for various types of soils and integrated vegetation cutting knife system.
The Watermaster’s raking ability is top-tier thanks to its 2,75-meter wide tool attachment that removes trash and vegetation – both floating and rooted. The Watermaster is also capable of piling given its two attachments – the piling bucket for wooden piles and the vibratory piling tool for both metal sheets and wooden piles. This allows the Watermaster to grab the piles from the side and as a result, it can handle longer piles.
Other key features of the Watermaster include its impressive mobility. It can be transported on a standard trailer. Being a single unit, nothing has to be set up upon arrival at a site. Being amphibious, the Watermaster can be launched without crane assistance. It can also be operated without winches, wire cables and assisting vessels. Equipped with its own propulsion system, the Watermaster can get to the site independently without the help of tugboats.
The Watermaster has so many vital applications for the environment, such as restoring shallow waterways and shores, which can alter the declining condition of inland waters worldwide. It can prevent floods and damage caused by flooding, clean urban canals, and remove trash, vegetation, and polluted sediments. Plus, it can maintain and clean industrial ponds. It’s really one robust dredger!
