World’s Smallest Fire Extinguisher

This is the E-Bulb, “the smallest fire extinguisher in the world,” or a thermally-activated glass bulb that’s integrated into your electrical appliances – that detects fires early by targeting them at their source. While simple in nature, E-Bulb’s job is quite impressive. It’s technically a circuit interrupter with a fire extinguishing agent. This non-toxic, non-conductive extinguishing liquid is released into the device at the correct temperature and the Thermo-Bulb bursts. Instantaneously, the liquid converts into gas, as a result of cooling and partially by oxygen reduction. Within seconds, the fire is extinguished. Since the current is interrupted, the electrical fire cannot be re-ignited. Compact yet powerful, at its smallest, the E-Bulb is only 2cm tall – so tiny that it can be hidden behind one Euro coin!
