Four-Wheel E-Bike

Meet PodRide, an adorable 4-wheel e-bike that looks like a mini-car. Equipped with a stellar suspension system, the PodRide can handle standard, paved, or dirt roads. Designed to motivate you to get outdoors and navigate snowy terrain in the winter, the PodRide gives you the option to exercise or rest while conquering hills with pedal-assist. Plus, it allows you to travel further, so you can go buy milk for your hot cocoa! This fully-weather-proof ride has a rear cargo for your groceries, which doubles as a child seat. It also has a fully-cushioned seat that feels like a comfy sofa on wheels.

For maximum ventilation in the cabin, the front windshield can be removed and its two side windows can be lowered. Sun protection is provided by PodRide’s roof. PodRide is 180cm long, 75cm wide and 145cm tall and its seat height is 50cm. It weighs 70kg and is equipped with a 250W electric motor, an internally geared hub, and 20-inch tires with a 88cm wheelbase. PodRide has a range of 60km and a maximum speed of 25km/h (with its motor). It also has a LED headlamp, indicators, and brake lights to help you safely drive at night.

PodRide has an ever-evolving design that continues to be refined. One of the significant changes made to its design thus far is its use of a thermo-formed material in the lower section. This not only simplifies its construction, but it greatly improves the e-bike’s visual appeal. By using this thermos-formed material, PodRide’s engineers also solved one of the e-bike’s major technical challenges, which was weather-sealing between the lower and upper body.

Due to popular demand, PodRide will be available as a two-seater that comes standard with one seat with the option of purchasing a second passenger seat. The position of both seats is adjustable within the cabin, as well as the recline angle. Currently, the company’s focus is entirely on delivering version one of the 4-wheel PodRide as soon as possible, followed by the 3-wheel version for U.S./Canada. Then, the company will examine the possibility of a two-seat version that accommodates two adults.
