F-SAM: Foldable One-Wing Drone

This foldable drone can fit in your pocket. Designed at the Singapore University of Technology and Design, it’s called F-SAM (or Foldable Single Actuator Monocopter) and it’s a flexible single-wing drone with a motor. Inspired by Samara seeds that spin down from maple trees, the 69 grams F-SAM drone continues to land gently even if it loses power midair. The tiny one-wing drone has a flight time of roughly 16 minutes.
