BMW iX Flow: Color-Changing Car
This car can change color with just the push of a button. The BMW iX Flow SUV, presented at CES in Las Vegas, works on the same principle as that of e-readers: the electrophoretic display. The body of the vehicle is laminated with E Ink that contains micro-capsules the diameter of a hair. Eachmicro-capsule contains black and white particles which become visible depending on the electrical field applied. Like e-readers, the iX Flow can only display white, black, or grey. For the time being, BMW has not announced the use of this technology on its production vehicles.
